Laser Rejuvenation

Skin damage can occur as a result of many external and internal factors, the most common of which being premature ageing, sun damage, and debilitating skin concerns like acne. This can cause the appearance of unsightly blemishes, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, and even scarring, among other concerns. This can be a lot to take into consideration when looking for an appropriate solution to meet all of your skincare needs, especially with such a saturated skincare market.

Rarely do over-the-counter products offer the results they promise, nor do they tackle skin rejuvenation as a whole in the same way that laser treatment can. Here at North West Aesthetics, our trained and experienced laser experts offer advanced laser skin rejuvenation, also commonly known as laser skin resurfacing and laser skin peel. Through just one simple, yet effective treatment, we can address all of your skin concerns at once, regardless of your skin type or colour. The result is beautifully youthful skin that is radiant, with an even tone.

We use Lynton Laser at NWA, which is very powerful and well suited to treat scarring, stretch marks and many other severe complaints.

Frequently asked questions

Using the most advanced laser technology, we are able to treat all areas of the body, but the size of the treatment area and the skin concern you hope to address can have implications on the cost of your treatment. Numerous treatment sessions are often required to achieve best results.

Thermal energy is applied to the affected skin via a highly precise laser beam to destroy the affected skin cells, allowing them to shed and new, healthy cells to take their place.

After just one treatment, you will start to notice improvements as the damaged skin sheds to reveal the healthier, clear skin beneath. Although we do find that most patients see the best results after a number of treatment sessions.

Most treatments last up to 30 minutes, differing depending on the size of the treatment area.

This depends on your individual skin concerns and will be determined during your consultation process. With that said, 4-6 treatments about 2-3 weeks apart is usually the optimum number required to see the best results.

You’ll be glad to know that your downtime is not necessary following your laser treatment, and you can in fact return to your routine with immediate effects. Simply take steps to care for your skin as it heals through appropriate sun protection and by following the advice given to you by our team post-treatment.

Redness, swelling and soreness are all likely for up to a few days post-treatment, although this is no cause for concern and will soon subside as your skin heals.

As mentioned above, this type of treatment is very versatile in that laser technology can be used to treat a wide range of skin concerns for all skin types and colours. The only way to determine your suitability for this type of treatment is to schedule your consultation with our expert team, led by Dr David Taylor. It might be that another of our advanced non-surgical aesthetic treatments would offer better results for your particular concern.
