Dermal Fillers – Tear Trough Fillers

Dark circles beneath the eyes can be a real thorn in your side! No matter how much sleep you get, you just can’t seem to shake those unsightly shadows, and with so many “home remedies” and over-the-counter products on the market, it can be hard to find a solution that really works for you. In actual fact, the reason for this is that most products and methods address the skin whereas the actual problem often lies within the shape of the area underneath the eyes. As the light falls over this hollow area it creates unsightly shadows, which is why dermal fillers might just be that solution you’ve been desperately trying to find.

Long gone are the days of looking tired, drained and unwell thanks to this non-invasive anti-ageing injectable. Dermal fillers have long been used for skin rejuvenation by plumping out fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother texture. They also help to boost the body’s natural collagen, and help you to maintain a more youthful appearance.

For the treatment we do a review at two weeks to check the results and top up free of charge if necessary, subject to practitioners discretion.

Frequently asked questions

There is no set price for dermal filler treatments at North West Aesthetic as each and every treatment is unique to each patient. You require a unique approach to suit your individual needs, which is why we develop bespoke treatment plans taking into consideration your facial structure and the severity of your ageing skin. At an estimate, you can expect to pay around £199 per syringe.

Not only do dermal fillers volumise the skin and minimise the signs of premature ageing, but they also stimulate the production of new and healthy collagen and elastin. Our experts achieve this by injecting just beneath the surface of the skin to precisely plump out the surrounding skin tissue, and the hyaluronic acid within the fillers themselves possesses the properties to stimulate this new growth of collagen and elastin for ultimate anti-ageing benefits.

You will notice instant changes post-procedure, with optimum results developing over the course of 2 weeks. Your doctor will initially, in the first treatment, slightly under treat the area. This it to allow the filler to absorb water over the following week, and then top up as needed. Your eyes will appear brighter and radiant, and the skin smooth and tight. We will under treat normally to allow the filler to absorb water over the following week, to maintain your results, you will need to schedule repeat treatments as and when they are needed, which is usually at around 12 months after your first treatment.

This procedure should last.

The canal used by your doctor is less invasive than other treatments and therefore minimises effects.

Although this is a minimally-invasive procedure, it is to be expected to suffer slight swelling, bruising and redness post-treatment, although this is very temporary and should last no more than a few days the use of a cannula will reduce these effects.

If you're experiencing premature ageing around the eyes, particularly tear troughs and similar wrinkling, then you may well benefit from dermal filler injections, but the only way to fully determine your suitability for this type of treatment would be through a thorough consultation at NWA. Pregnant and breastfeeding women cannot safely undertake this type of treatment.

At North West Aesthetics, our friendly and attentive team prioritise your wants and needs, offering bespoke treatment plans that work specifically for you. We take the time to get to the bottom of your concerns via a thorough consultation, before then considering the best possible course of action. A high standard of treatment and care is imperative, which is why our staff are extensively trained and experienced in all aspects of advanced non-surgical aesthetics, led by renowned medical doctor, Dr David Taylor.
