Intense light energy is converted into heat energy in order to penetrate deep into pigmented skin cells with immense precision, triggering the death of the cells without damaging the surrounding, less-pigmented cells.

While the treated skin first darkens and scabs, this will soon shed within 10 days, leaving behind new, healthy skin cells and a clearer complexion.

Depending on the size of the treatment area, laser pigmentation treatment usually takes between 15 – 30 minutes. You are required to have a test patch done 48 hours prior to treatment.

For most pigmentation concerns, the best results are seen after 2 – 3 treatment sessions at regular intervals. The specific number of treatments you need will be determined throughout your consultation process and following the assessment of your results after each treatment.
