Dermaroller Treatments for Acne/Acne Scarring (Face)

Active acne can be a rather debilitating skin condition to live with, one that affects the majority of the population in one way or another throughout our lives. In more serious instances, it can have a serious impact on the mental health of the sufferer due to the unsightly outward appearance of the condition, which can be rather unsightly to say the least. Inflammatory acne can cause various types of spots to occur, not to mention eventual acne scarring in severe spot types; nodules and cysts, for example, burst and cause long-term damage to the surrounding skin.

Treating and managing a skin condition such as this can be very difficult, with so many products and treatments on the market. Finding a solution that really works for you can seem impossible at times, not to mention time-consuming and costly. Once the damage is done and the scarring forms, seeking expert help and advice is recommended. At North West Aesthetics, we offer Dermaroller treatment to improve the appearance of both active acne and acne scarring.

Using a handheld device, our experts carefully and precisely create tiny channels as the roller head of small needles travels across the surface of your skin. Acne and acne scarring is significantly reduced as your natural self-healing mechanisms rejuvenate your damaged skin. Skin appears clear, smooth and radiant.

Each treatment usually last up to 60 minutes, with a 30-minute consultation required beforehand to apply numbing cream. In total, please allocate 1 hour 30 minutes for your treatment.

Patients often start to notice significant improvement after just one treatment, although 4-6 sessions are usually recommended to see the best results, around 4-6 weeks apart. Repeat treatments can be scheduled as they are needed in order to maintain long-term results.

Although you may experience very minor side effects, this is no cause for concern and you can more than happily resume your daily routine with no trouble at all.

Sensitive skin that appears red and flushed is common immediately after your treatment, although this should subside within the first few days post-treatment. As for allergic reactions, this is extremely unlikely as there are no solutions or substances being injected into the skin.
