Although commonly known as “bunny lines”, wrinkles at the side of the nose aren’t as cute as they might sound, and can be a real bugbear for some people. As with any dynamic wrinkle, the cause is a combination of muscle movement and the effects of ageing over time, including sun exposure and a decrease in skin laxity.
The nasalis muscle is primarily responsible for nose lines as a result of facial expression, although this can be successfully treated via anti-wrinkle injections. This non-surgical treatment temporarily stunts muscle contraction by blocking nerve signals while still allowing for full facial expression, meaning that wrinkles are reduced during facial movement.
It is worth noting that we always do a review at two weeks to check the results and top up free of charge if necessary, subject to practitioners discretion.
